MOSCOW IN DETAIL.
TRAVEL ENCYCLOPAEDIA

This comprehensive travel guide will lead you through Moscow far beyond its postcard attractions

Street food

In recent years, the city government reduced the number of street-food outlets considerably in order to improve control of the survivors. Still we do not recommend buying food from street kiosks in Moscow, although some well-established chains like Stardogs (Стардогз) offer safe products. Pies, sandwiches and hotdogs sold in Alexandrovsky Garden near the Kremlin are also safe. Prices start from RUR 50 for a sandwich or a pirozhok (a bun stuffed with meat, cabbage or another filling.)
