Museum of Moscow

This multidisciplinary museum shows Moscow in the past, the present and the future by means of history, archaeology, sociology and fine arts. Frequent temporary exhibitions add to the museum’s rich permanent expositions. The museum’s vast courtyard hosts various concerts and festivals.

Opening times: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10.00 a.m. to 08.00 p.m., Thursday from 11.00 a.m. to 09.00 p.m. Closed on Monday and the last Friday of each month.

Ticket price: RUR 200 for one exhibition or RUR 450 for all exhibitions.

Museum of History of Vodka

Visiting this compact museum is a good opportunity to discover the history of Russian vodka production and consumption traditions from the medieval times to Boris Yeltsin’s presidency in 1990s. Tours in English are available at an extra charge. Ticket price includes a shot of medovukha, a Russian low-alcohol honey drink similar to mead. You may also test various kinds of vodka at an extra cost.

Ticket prices: RUR 120 for Russian citizens; RUR 200 for foreigners.

Opening times: daily from 10.00 a.m. to 08.00 p.m.
